                  DAY OF THE TENTACLE (1993)
Day of the Tentacle is the sequel to Maniac Mansion, but although based on the
same basic premise, is a completely different game.
With insane artists that were seemingly taken directly from Warner Bros.' classic
Road Runner, combined with the talent of the likes of Ron Gilbert, Day of the
Tentacle is more than just a game: it is an insane, surreal adventure with a long
          and complex story.
Basically what happens is this: Purple Tentacle, one of crazy Dr. Fred's
creations, drinks contaminated water from Dr. Fred's Sludge'o'matic, mutates into
an insane genius and grows arms, and now he's plotting to take over the world. In
an effort to stop him, Dr. Fred sends the three insane friends, Bernard, Hoggie
and Lavern back in time to yesterday, in order for them to turn off the
Sludge'o'matic and stop the sludge from spilling into the river. Naturally, the
cheap doctor uses a fake diamond over a real one in his time machine, which blows
up sending Hoggie 200 years into the past and Lavern 200 years into the future.
This is where the story begins: with the help of a few items you can flush through
time with the use of the Chronojohn (yes, a toilet!) you must bring back Hoggie
        and Lavern and stop
evil Purple from taking over the world.
Mutation, Desperation, High Adventure - the game keeps even more than it promises
on it's package! It's one of the funniest LUCASARTS games (actually one of the
funniest games ever!) with the craziest, most twisted and most hilarious B-Movie-
plot imaginable. Within this context all puzzles are of an insane logic (like
bringing that hamster into the future by putting it first in a freezer for 200
years and then defrost it again in a microwave, PLING! ready!) and you can't get
stuck or die whatever you do. Along with the weird graphics, the nice soundtrack
and great sound effects a true classic that has never been matched up in this
category by any other game to come! If you've never played an adventure games,
          this one's a MUST!

        THE GAME
Also included in the game as a bonus is it's classic predecessor MANIAC MANSION!
Take Bernard and go up to the 2nd floor, right door. There's an old computer
  standing
around. "USE COMPUTER" - and the fun begins!
