PUPAJIM JTR09 After the (now hard to find) “I Am A Robot“- Maffi-7inch from 2010 busybody Pupajim finally returns to our favourite brew of simple digital riddims with two large and indestructable dancehall anthems, “Double Lock” and “Trouble Again”. Usually a highly collectible series of 7inches, this is the first ever Maffi-12″ (!), coming – in true Firehouse style – with some rather riveting and righteously ruckus-causing dubs by disrupt. “No / Dancehall Nice Again”
JTR7-07 / JTR7-08
release date: 28.10.2010
2 x 7″ vinyl, digital
After his timeless smasher “Talk To Me” (on Maffi-7″ JTR7-02) Solo Banton is back big time with two bass-charged dancehall bombs, ready to win hearts, minds and any sound clash with ease.
“No” is one of those rare and highly inspiring all-out statements that has the power to change anybody’s life into that of a Jedi knight instantly, delivered with enough straightforward energy to make sure every single line strikes home as another nail in the lid of the system’s coffin. A Rootah refix of the track already appeared on the recent “Jahtarian Dubbers Vol. 2” compilation.
For “Dancehall Nice Again” Solo Banton teams up with singer and brother-in-arms Trevor Irie on a deadly Maffi killer that should give any club safety inspector a heart attack. A 100% vibes-powered space rocket that won’t miss it’s aim, destined to detonate right on the decks.
The explosives come ready-to-DJ as a handy two disc set with each of the Dubs pressed on the other 7″, thus making mixing vocal cut and version xtra easy without the need of buying two of the same copies.

PUPAJIM
“I Am A Robot”
JTR7-06
release date: 24.02.2010
7″ vinyl, digital
This relentless 7″ module by the man called Pupajim – our fave robot model of French fabrication – is number five in the ultra-collectible series programmed by the Maffi scientists. With one of the most unique vocal styles of our space age Pupajim short-wires classic Reggae sockets here with a genuine sound chip of his own design to execute the Dub-A-Dub source code with the easy flick of a mechanical wrist.
On side B Jahtari main electrician disrupt is taking a close look into the strippped down Maffi schematics, kicking it only with a minimum set of transistors to leave enough space for other MC-bots.
If good Ganja weed is also your favourite kind of electricity then this cute circuit-bent wax might shift the gear in your hips to DANCE MODE instantly while stimulating the nerdy side of your brain.
