Obscure digi dub gem from 2010 by French one-of-a-kind vocal scientist Pupa Jim, available on wax for the first time since its initial short run 14 years ago.

Programmed by the Maffi crew, the Copenhagen riddim experts of the myspace era, this relentless 7″ module aged oddly well, with its futuristic AI-theme and timeless simplicity.

Jahtari main electrician disrupt is taking a closer look into the strippped down riddim schematics on the flip side, kicking it with a minimum set of transistors to wreak maximum havoc dubwise.

Two lost & found lofi nuggets from the Jahtari vault, appearing on 7″ floppy disc for the very first time.

Arcade Addict” is the original Dub cut of Mikey Murka‘s “Sensi Addict”, a version of the sweet Ujama classic that came out as a Jahtari Net-7″ in 2006. Sprinkled with field recordings from early 80s Arcade Halls (done by kids with a walkman) this little oddity never made it to vinyl until now.

Proper Tings” on B is taken from a home made video from 2012, originally made to show the capabilities of a DIY Synth project using a Commodore C64 home computer sound chip, the growly SID synth.

Sounds are made from scratch, sequenced out on a MPC – and the ensuing Dub jam turned out to be a lucky shot, eventually shaping up as Paul St. Hilaire‘s “Who Goes There“. There’s a raw, beautiful 8bit magic to this Dub, finally making it to wax for the first time.

Probably the very first proper Jahtari tracks ever made, those two raw gems from a Net-7″ from 2004 are finally appearing on vinyl through Turtle Isle Records.

Two really cool Rootah and disrupt lofi jams on some Wackies riddims (probably), with a cracked Ableton Live… Lots of love for this one.

Two heavily dub-encrypted data packages by disrupt, retrieved from Jahtari deep storage and transferred to 7″ floppy disk for the very first time.

On side A ‘Chip on Fire’, a 2005 favourite, mutates through it’s dramtic arc with hypnotic bass pressure, exploding psycho-synths and CPU-straining mind bender moments until reaching an intense conclusion.

Jojo’s Skank‘, the desperate battle against a merciless metronome on side B, gives a nod to the immortal ‘Monkey Island’ adventure game soundtracks by Michael Z. Land (1990 / 91). For those who know…

Comes with floppy disk artwork and spinning fantascope magic by Ellen G – C:> ECHO not to be missed!

The second 7inch in the Jahtari floppy disc series sees the return of Monkey Marc from the red sands of the Australian outback to his solar powered studio inside a shipping container on a Melbourne junkyard.

Cooked up between old school samplers, obscure synths and tape delays the cuts on this double-sided disc come right from the edge of an abysmal echo chamber: cavernous reverbs, the extra-lush keys from an Emulator III and Monkey Marc’s huge MPC 3000 sound that’s entirely his own.

Limited to 300 copies!

Also keep an eye out for Monkey Marc’s other projects, like his JA produced smasher “No Surrender“, his upcoming album with UK mic legend YT, or past classics like his “Planet Smashers” EP on Jahtari from 2014 and his track for Roots Manuva’s 4everrevolution album, “Who Goes There“.

Rough and rugged Jahtari 7″-floppy disc with a rudebwoy riddim by the rub-a-dub hacker team Art & Naram, well known in the community for their Red Robin productions.

Epic drunkard’s tale by the fast chat originator himself on the A-side  – Peter King is heading down to the pub this time, returning from Maffi’s “Killah Tape EP” with even more story twists, odd rhyme meters and a recipe for disaster.

Jammed straight to an 8-track cassette deck in the Jahtari studio, mixed by disrupt and coming with an high density dub on the flipside.

The Upsetter Meets Jahtari In The Secret Laboratory bring together a meeting of minds for this digi-dub 8-bit 9-bar remix package being transmitted all the way from the year 2026.

The Adrian Sherwood and Style Scott-produced Lee “Scratch” Perry original, Scientific Dancehall is a rolling drumfunk heavy jazzy bumper that has long been a firm fav round these parts, but we’d almost go as far to say the Jahtari updates from Disrupt & Rootah re-route the original transmission through a pixelated Echo Dek that blends the digi-dancehall sound into something resembling the outer reaches fellow astral-travellers Tapes, Equiknoxx, Seekers & the Bokeh Versions crew.

This 7″ came out on On U Sound as a Black Friday 2016 limited edition – rare!

The mysterious Reverend Danny Dread descends from the mist-shrouded hills of the Jamaican hinterland to deliver a sermon to all dibby dibby soundbwoys who run their mouths. Originally cut as a dubplate on a Naram riddim engineered from the DNA of an obscure early 90s Jammys cut, “Chatty Mouth Defeat” makes it clear it’s not wise to ramp with the Colonel.

The next round of Colonel Mustard’s grenades are ready to be launched, with two veteran raggamuffin deejays riding military-grade riddims developed by Naram and disrupt.

First up, original Wild Apache legend Junior Cat unleashes a rapid-fire lyrical assault on those who fail to respect the foundations and culture of real dancehall music. “See Di Bobo Dread” shows the cat is still in fine form, riding the depth-charger bassline of Naram’s Feline riddim with gruff finesse.
