JAHTARI OVER IN THE UK (MAR 2007)
Back in March Rootah and disrupt set out for a fine 2-week-trip to the UK. To finally
meet up
with Darren from WERK DISCS, play a gig along with him and Lukid in the crazy
"Three
Blind Mice" place and suck in some deep Brixton dubstore vibes.
The journey continued on down to the Realityshock Records studio in Reading, after
finally meeting Australia's Dubster number one Pete Murder Tone one the way, to
unite again with Mikey Murka and Kris Kemist. Ending up in a deep recording
session,
the result
of which will be coming up on a supernice Mikey Murka vinyl-12" soon!
The highlight followed up in Glasgow / Bonnie Scotland, to where the awesome boys
from the Mungo's HiFi sound invited us for two gigs. To play live on their self-made
16kW-system! Crucial experience - much niceness sprung from that so far. Like a small
Mungo's tour with Brother Culture taking place right now in Germany. Details on that
over HERE. You can listen
in to the Jahtari live set by clicking the headphones on
the left. More Mungos background infos and music HERE!
Check some pics below and keep an eye out for the Jahtari stuff at WERK DISCS (like
the "FOUNDATION BIT" album by disrupt), the fine Mungo's HiFi releases on Scotch
Bonnet and Mikey
Murka's epic "In The Name Of Love", out on Realityshock Records.
