Soom T & disrupt
"ODE 2 A CARROT"

17.12.2010

Just in time to end the year with a big green blast comes THIS
synapse scorching double album from Soom T & disrupt. Following the
now-classic-'Dirty Money EP', this deadly disc threatens to gather
up every ganja cliché ever designed and smash them all to
smithereens. Not for the faint of heart, this epic is designed to
chill and stimulate (listeners to skin up), while doing everything
but take itself seriously. Highly addictive stuff, you've been
warned!

Comes as stunning 2LP edition with all lyrics and fun drawings by
Soom T on the inner sleeves, or digipack-CD incl. a 16 page booklet
with the same jolly art, for a good ole' singalong. Light it HERE!

After his timeless smasher "Talk To Me" (on Maffi-7" JTR7-02)
Solo Banton is back big time with two bass-charged dancehall bombs,
ready to win hearts, minds and any sound clash with ease. "No" and
"Dancehall Nice Again" (w/ Trevor Irie) are 100% Maffi-vibes-
powered space rockets that won't miss their aim and are destined
to detonate right on the decks.

Each of the deadly Maffi versions is pressed the B-side of the
other 7", so no need to get two of the same copies for continuous
mixing. Those gems are going very fast, so better get one right
HERE before they're out.

The man KALBATA, who brought you recent goodness like THIS deep
Souljazz release, dusted off a huge pile of his 45s - from Channel
One to Ujama, from deadly 80s MC action to Casio powered bliss -
and blended it all together in THIS new and utterly unmissable
mixtape called "Crucial We Crucial". An utterly rugged reel filled
to the max with forgotten gems, ultra-rare cuts and basically one
surprise bomb after the other, straight from the golden era of the
late 70s to mid 80s.

Absolutely stunning cover by Ellen G from My Lord Sound in Tel Aviv.
Defintiely have a wee gander over HERE to check all her artwork!

A new, lovable 45-vinyl is out now on the mysterious Jahmiga
imprint, containing a rough edged cover version of an undying
1974 Spanish dance classic. With sexy female vocals and a pop
factor that would put ABBA to shame this cutie shouldn't miss in
any record crate this summer. Limited copies - better grab one
quick over HERE.

Radio Lancashire, between the Maffi gang and the Jahtari posse.

of exclusive Dub mixes, unreleased gems and upcoming firecrackers.
Full listen in and download HERE.

"On The Wire" is due each Saturday, dating back until 1984 (!).

two Japan-only releases!

10.04.

We finally managed to go through all the cool things we brought
back from our Asia-trip in Jan/Feb 2010, and it's just a treasure
trove. First of all bend your ear towards the two Japan-only
releases of Jahtari on the Rudiments label: the excellent
"Asteroids Dub" compilation, and the must-be-heard-to-believe
Jahtari-remix CD "Leipzig Dub" by Killer Bong. Limited copies
HERE
!

Fuji-san

And if you're into holiday pictures and big movie entertainment
there's tons of new stuff up in our PICS/ELSE section over HERE.
Full coverage of any cool oddity we found underway, including a
Darth Vader sound strap...

The uncanny story continues in our Jahtari magazine, rising from
the dead for THIS special occasion: how a Japanese soundtrack
from the 1950s came to be a ska classic in Jamaica - and a Jahtari
track in 2009! Read the full mystery HERE.

From the compartment of unreleased Jahtari gems comes THIS highly
addictive NET-7" by El Fata on the so called "Survivor" riddim.
A lyrical document from the dark days of Mr. Bush and Mr. Blair,
this intense track with it's powerful message, unstoppable flow
and El Fata's ultra-sweet harmony treament not from this world is
bound to win hearts, minds and dancefloors alike.

Often requested bare version of the riddim on B, ready for rinsing
it properly on your local sound. Grab it all for free over HERE.
More El Fata goodness coming soon on "JAHTARIAN DUBBERS Vol. 2"!

24.02.

This new relentless 7" module by the man called Pupajim is number
five in our ultra-collectible series programmed by the Maffi
scientists. With one of the most unique vocal styles of our space
age Pupajim short-wires classic Reggae sockets here with a genuine
sound chip of his own design to execute the Dub-A-Dub source code
with the easy flick of a mechanical wrist.

Nice disrupt version on B. Coming with a small hole by accident.
Get one HERE.

goodness from China

22.02.

Originally produced as a cool giveaway after gigs for our recent
Asia odyssey, this collaboration with Chacha and the crew from
the Shelter Club / Uprooted Sunshine Sound in Shanghai, China,
turned out to be a beauty. Containing 6 unreleased tracks as well
as Soom T's "Dirty Money" + version, this CD is impossible to get
hold of outside of Asia. We luckily managed to scavenge a few
copies of this very limited and hand-crafted release, so better
check out the thingie quickly over HERE.

Solo Banton album on
Realityshock

Just out on at our mates's Realityshock label from Reading / UK
is the long awaited album by Solo Banton called "Walk Like Rasta".
On this epic Solo proves once more that he's one of the truely
inspiring story tellers of our times, all backed up by his unique
drive on the mic, Kris Kemist at the controls, the Uppercut Band,
Disciples and Bush Chemists for the versions.

Don't miss to check out THIS boombastic, soon-to-be-oscar-nominated
video of "Walk Like Rasta" - and if this hasn't cracked you up
enough already absolutely watch the linked interview with Gangsta
Ras
! The LP is available HERE.

Our NET-7" 19 is hot off the virtual press, featuring two deadly
vocal versions on the so-called "Bits Of Fury" riddim, which
already has a little obscure past...

On the live recording on Side A Scottish sound system heroes
Zeb & Scotty are riding this rough edged 8-bit beauty like
there's no tomorrow, making it one of the finest Ganja odes ever
rolled. Jahtari MC veteran Dressla delivers a brilliant street
fighting anthem on side B, with the unstoppable vibe of countless
bass heavy nights on the mic behind him. Grab it HERE.

FINE NEW YEAR and howdy in 2010, aka. the futcha! You hopefully had
a similar smooth entry as our bunch and are ready for all the
upcoming twenty-ten goodness!

Lots of fun projects are cooking on the never-resting Jahtari
stove, starting with the next Maffi-7" which will drop in a couple
of weeks. There are also rumours about a new issue in our label
comp series, "Jahtarian Dubbers Vol. 2", plus we got wind of some-
thing fresh on the Jahmiga-front. Time to re-sharpen the needles...
