Gritty loops and eroded synth-scapes tell the story of a trip across a world without water: a journey through parched and wind-swept lands, dried-out riverbeds, past vast garbage dumps, following the hydrogen fuel veins across the Big White, in search for that crucial part to fix your communities’ water pump: ‘The Water Chip’.
Each tape comes with hand-painted cover art by Ltd. Candy, each with a unique color scheme – photos can’t fully capture it.

Dubbed-out loop clusters, foggy melody nebulas and hazy layers of alien field recordings are held together by otherworldly off-the-grid rhythms, shaping the experience into an highly immersive sonic tale of crash-landing on a mysterious planet.
Out on the Jahtari-sublabel Zonedog the album follows the trail of previous space exploration endaevours like ‘Omega Station‘ and ‘The Recreation Room‘. Coming with beautiful vintage-SciFi water color artwork by Ellen G.

Nerdcore Dub versions from ‘The Secret of Monkey Island I & II’ adventure game soundtracks (1990 / 91), the forgotten Voodoo-Reggae classics from the floppy disc age.
The original game soundtracks by Michael Z. Land, in all their uncanny 16bit-Soundblaster FM-synth glory, were a massive influence for Jahtari (weird computer game reggae!) – but could those soothing and somewhat wimpy tracks be translated into a Heavyweight Dub context, something that might work on a sound system?
Well, here are our attempts from around 2005 / 06: Meanwhile Deep Beneath the Island. Sixteen haunting tracks, optimized for guzzling grog, by Gamle Harlev Orchestra & Bo Marley, John Frum, Volfoniq and disrupt. Finished cuts, various dubs and plain demos, raised from the Undead, just for the torment of your ears!

The beatless ‘Bathyscaphe’ on side B goes on a deep sea dive, balancing awe and terror as the submersible slowly descends deeper and deeper into the silent world of immense pressure. Intense journey!

Two heavily dub-encrypted data packages by disrupt, retrieved from Jahtari deep storage and transferred to 7″ floppy disk for the very first time.
On side A ‘Chip on Fire’, a 2005 favourite, mutates through it’s dramtic arc with hypnotic bass pressure, exploding psycho-synths and CPU-straining mind bender moments until reaching an intense conclusion.
‘Jojo’s Skank‘, the desperate battle against a merciless metronome on side B, gives a nod to the immortal ‘Monkey Island’ adventure game soundtracks by Michael Z. Land (1990 / 91). For those who know…
